Holiday Card Project
I began this project to share a holiday gift with great people that have crossed my path; friends, colleagues, collectors, and art enthusiasts who aren't able to buy art. I often consider who has access to my art, and these cards are a way to share my work and make folks smile. Every year, the theme is the same – a female figure holding a bottle or drinking something in celebration or ironic frustration. I print them on either fabric patterns that I design, magazine pages or other promotional material that I receive in the mail. I leaf through stacks of these magazines and select ones that I think would serve as an interesting background. If I am sending out 55 cards I will usually print about 100, signing and mailing the ones which printed the best.
